The duo Victor Delgado and Joy Tostada and their humble team at Tacos 1986 have become overnight legends in the LA food scene. Starting in November 2018, Tacos 1986 went from a dark quiet corner in Hollywood to popping up around Koreatown, Venice, Smorgasburg, and events in between. With hustle and dedication, they opened their first brick and mortar in DTLA on June 2019, less than a year’s time from starting. They now have 4 brick and mortars - DTLA, Melrose, Westwood, & Burbank - and have no signs of slowing down. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting their growth since the beginning.
